COURSE DESCRIPTION

For Ph.D.-students attending the 30th Nordic Sociological Association Conference, we arrange a one-day pre-conference as a PhD course, with the support of The Nordic Sociological Association. The pre-conference features Professors Þorgerður Einarsdóttir and Sigrún Ólafsdóttir from the University of Iceland who will reflect on the challenges of writing and publishing peer
review articles.

Presentations from PhD students are organized in parallel sessions with room for engaging discussions. Upon registration, Ph.D.-students will be asked to submit a short abstract. The pre-conference is open for all Ph.D.-students, and we especially invite participants from the Nordic universities.

REGISTRATION AND FEE
The pre-conference is free of charge for Ph.D.-students. Lunch and coffee will also be provided. On the night of August 9th, a dinner will be arranged at the participants’ own expense.

Remember to submit a short abstract of maximum 250 words describing what you aim to present at the pre-conference.

As we aim for all participants to have a chance to present their project and to engage in open dialogical, we have a maximum of 25 participants. PhD students who are attending the Nordic Sociological Association Conference will be given priority.

Further information, list of participants, and final program will be circulated late June.
